PiPa recruits extra software-developer: Jochen Hebbrecht
In 2007 Jochen Hebbrecht graduated with his Masters degree in Computer Science and immediately began his career as a Java software engineer for “RealDolmen” the largest IT company in Belgium. Jochen, a real team player and dedicated professional is our newest full time software developer who will be working closely with Erwin De Vylder our “Chief Information Officer”. Jochen’s main task will entail writing new programming software that will enable PIPA to become even better while scaling as required to keep up with its meteoric internet growth. Jochen will be dedicated to the constant improving of the PIPA website experience while at the same time planning to write innovative new software specifically for racing pigeon applications.
At 25 Jochen Hebbrecht brings a great deal of enthusiasm to PIPA. He likes a challenge, enjoys the social interaction and is a very hard worker focused on success. Even though Jochen has been with PIPA for less than two weeks he has, because of his long term friendship ( since the age of 14) with Thomas Gyselbrecht, really followed the development and milestones achieved by PIPA over the years, from the time of Its original founding by Nikolaas. The progress of PIPA, was often discussed with Thomas, at pub meetings and other social occasions etc. Clearly Thomas had a passion for PIPA and that “excitement and passion” for PIPA was very infectious. By 2010, as Jochen was ready for new challenges in his field Thomas and Nikolaas decided that he would be a perfect addition, “young, aggressive, experienced, knowledgeable and exceeding accomplished in the field of software development”. In the end the opportunities available with the PIPA organization were such that Jochen decided to make the leap and become part of this young aggressive PIPA team that is dedicated to changing how the world views pigeons and how we pigeon fanciers worldwide communicate and relate with each other. PIPA has in effect become an ever growing, uniquely vibrant global “piazza” and it is professional programmers like Jochen that make this experience possible!
